About
Dr. Priti Karnik is a Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM) alumni and graduated in 2001. She completed a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship, followed by a small animal surgery residency at Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Karnik became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2006 and has worked in specialty private practice from 2005 until 2011. In the summer of 2011, Dr. Karnik joined RUSVM as an assistant professor in small animal surgery. She taught in the surgery course, surgery laboratory and headed the spay lab program. Dr. Karnik also acted as one of the referral surgeons for the Ross University Veterinary Clinic.
In 2014, Dr. Karnik, returned to specialty practice to start the surgical department at the Hope Advanced Veterinary Center in Maryland. After 3 ½ years in private practice, Dr. Karnik elected to return to her alma mata and St. Kitts and join RUSVM as an assistant professor of small animal surgery once again.
